In Recovery Mode
It’s hard losing something, but having it taken seems far worse…We all experience loss. Not all loss is bad. At that moment you may feel devastated.But... when the smoke clears, your path is clean and ready for NEXT. Trust that God knows what He is doing in that challenging season.
Sometimes your loss is a lesson and sometimes it’s an opportunity. You decide.
1 SAMUEL 30:8 reads ...And David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for thou shalt surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” In this passage David’s camp had been invaded while he was at war. The enemy took everything David and his men valued, including their families. He then petitioned God to determine when he should go after what was taken, and would he recover everything.
Most of us have experienced some form of loss, whether it’s failed relationships or financial ruin; it all hurts the same. If we can be honest, this is where most of us depend heavily upon our emotions to lead us in determining a suitable resolve. David understood the importance of seeking God first. He positioned himself to receive divine revelation from God on the perfect plan for absolute recovery. Like David, we too must strategically inquire of the Lord on how to “recover” well.
4 Steps to Getting Your Stuff Back
1. Build Yourself Up. (David encouraged himself in the presence of God)
2. Seek God. (Ask God the right questions)
3. Do exactly what God instruct you to do. (Don’t be misled by your emotions)
4. Pursue until Manifestation (Look for kingdom results)
When God leads you, what looks like a loss, turns out to be a Win in His Hands
